On both of the following hands - to minimize losses - should I have folded sooner???

Hand 1) With 5 players seeing the flop I'd fold to the flop raise.
Hand 2) I'd raise the flop. Mighta knocked UTG+1 out. |

My advice is suspect at best. You've been warned. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
Hand #1 As weak as this sounds, I think you can fold this on the flop. A bet and a call with it headed back to the SB means you're probably beat here more often than not. I'd be tempted to raise the flop if there wasn't a caller in between me and the original flop bet to try and get this HU, but that just isn't going to happen here. If you call the flop your outs on the turn might not be clean anyway. Hand #2 I fold this on the flop. I played it for the set, the flop came with all over cards and a weak draw. I think chasing these hands is a money drain. |
