When we started these forums, this is exactly what we were hoping. Of course, we never thought that the current World Champion would be saying this, so it is very much appreciated.

For those who don't know, Greg has been posting with us from almost the very beginning of these forums in 1996. He has been a great contributor, and hopefully, now that his schedule will be a little bit busier, can still find some time to drop in.

Greg, best of luck to you and our compliments on a most deserving win.

Also, given the time that Greg has spent here over the years and the quality of his advice, he should make a great ambassador of poker.

About a year ago I sent you a mail stating that you had been the single most important reason why my tournament play had improved so much. I had mentioned you to a couple of my friends but none of them had bothered checking out your advice. These are the same people who were telling me on Friday that some unknown guy had won the WSOP.
“He’s no unknown”, I said, “that’s Fossilman, he’s the best”.

It was so appropriate of Greg to take the time to thank you guys for establishing an arena where amateurs and pros could debate poker to the betterment of all. The quality of the product you provide is responsible for attracting players like Greg, Jim Brier, Rick nebiolo, Dan hanson, skp, G. Ed Conly, Louis Landale, Vince, Abdul, and even Gary and Badger. They have all made their contributions to our knowledge but couldn't have if you guys didn't have the vision.
