Advice on micro limit cash games in Vegas (1$/2$ and 1$-3$)
Hello!
I will be going to Vegas for 3 days this june, and I'm planning on playing the lowest stakes cash games (because I'm a rookie). I'de like some advice on how to beat the micro limits games (1$/2$ and 1$-3$ spread) that are spread on for example Luxor (isn't it?). I've read Slanskys THFAP and TTOF, so references to these books are ok. I know he talks a bit about spread limit in THFAP but I'd like some more. Thanks! |

That low of a limit will make you crazy. If it is like any very low limit I have played, everybody calls with nothing and one of them hits a miracle card on the river. If there are ten people at the table and eight or nine of them see the river, it is almost certain the river will hit one of them.
There are probably more experienced players than I to answer your question and I hope some post because I would like their input. The only time I played in Vegas was at the Excalibur. They had a Texas hold'em class and then would open a 1-3 spread limit game after the class was over. The 2-6 spread limit was a much better game with more action and a whole lot more fun to play. If getting drawn out repeatedly doesn't put you on tilt or make you crazy, the lower limits might suit you well. |

You might find 1-3 at the Excalibur. Otherwise, 2-4 is the lowest limit you'll find (at the Monte Carlo).
You beat the games by playing good poker. There's no formula. |

[/ QUOTE ] Excalibur does have 1-3 and 2-6 spread limit games. You can find 2/4 at Monte Carlo, Flamingo, Sahara, Stardust (I think), Orleans, Union Plaza , Palms and Luxor. Re: Advice on micro limit cash games in Vegas (1$/2$ and 1$-3$)
the Sahara has a 1-4-8-8 spread limit game that plays with a single $2 blind. that was about the cheapest game I ever found in Las Vegas. They have or had a very easy bad beat jackpot to hit. When the jackpot got up to about $10,000 that game filled up with passive players who saw the flop for anything with jackpot potential.
