Re: I WON MY FIRST MULTI-TABLE TOURNEY!!!
WTG! Congrats! I am still looking for my first win with a nice price tag like that.
That would have 3x my BR as well, LOL! What was the final hand if you don't mind, please? I once won a 200+ but was a freeroll, 4 hours passed my bedtime, I still don't know hth I did that. -Bri |

Re: I WON MY FIRST MULTI-TABLE TOURNEY!!!
you know, for some reason, after reading a book like Positivly Fifth St, or watching a good game like the WPT/WSOP - I'm always eager to play, and usually do a bit better then usual -
I think it's the mindset...you want to play - not just grinding or killing time - you feel more comfortable making decisions you see pros making - attitude - it's a good feeling. - and good job not chopping and splitting prize money...LOL congrats RB |

Nice going, cakes. Was at that final table but didn't last long. Glad that spankweiler guy didn't win.

Re: I WON MY FIRST MULTI-TABLE TOURNEY!!!
Final hand was my 99 vs his 66. My 99 held up. We weren't heads up very long, maybe ten minutes. We were both being pretty damn aggressive, and I was sure I was beat when he called my all-in bet. I was pretty surprised when he turned over 66.
I really feel I played top notch poker the whole tourney. I raised when I thought I could steal, regardless of my hand. And I folded when I thought I had the worst of it, with no chance to outplay my no-foldem opponents. Probably most importantly, I can't remember taking any bad beats for any serious amounts of chips. I was the chip leader going into the final table, and played my big stack well. I kept the pressure on, raising one out of every 3 or 4 hands, which paid off handsomely. I was able to take down a lot of pots uncontested, and get called/raised by inferior hands who thought I was just being a bully when I actually had a good hand. johnny. |
