Default Fully Customized Chips?

Anyone have links for sites with fully customized chips? I was gonna order from pokerchips.com... but i read SEVERAL bad things about there...

I'm looking for more customization then say 5stardeal, where you get the cheap, everyday used poker chips, stamp 3 letters and maybe a value on em, and go...

I'm looking for either stamping maybe a picture (like a doodle i guess you could say) or maybe even putting a picture of my own on the chip...

the Big Slick Texas Hold'em Poker Chip on 5stardeal.com or the 13 Gram Pro Clay Casino Poker Chip seem like good chips to maybe use, but i'm looking for a little more unique maybe even...

reason i'm doing this, i've recently counted out my chips, and noticed that i have extra chips, particularly in the bigger denominations... since i am the "bank" so to speak, if theres a discrepency in the pot, it comes out of my pocket... I'd rather pay some money to get hard to duplicate chips, then just give people free money that i have no way of finding who is doing it... not exactly my game, but i have the chips... so i'm the bank..

thanx

I d on't know where he got them, but a freind of mine got some labels/stickers to put in the middle of all his chips. Seemed like a lot of work to me, but that's what he's gonna do.

You could always customize them your self - mask them up and paint an off color stripe down the the side of all the chips.

I personally think we get way carried away trying to get "cool" chips. After the cards are in the air, nobody cares what the chips look like. As long as they are easy to handle, they work fine.

SOrry to hear someone's been sneaking their chips into your game - that really sucks.

I'd be interested to know where you can get these decals. I've seen some but I can't remembe where.

I run a graphic arts house - we are going to try and make some up for the "Casino" clay chips. I'll post the results after we try.

When I started to host a home game, I was afraid of this.

I went to homepokerchips.com and customized my own chips. They are made by chipco. They are not cheap, and have gotten more expensive since February.

I agree w/ LetsRock... you can stripe your current chips, but if you want customized chips, go w/ chipco.

If you want "semi-customized" chips, you can go to chipco.com for the same chips with predetermined patterns... They are not secure chips, but less likely to be "introduced" to your game by someone else, since they are fairly hard to find.

I just ordered from pokerchips.com this week. I chose the over chipco as I like the clay chips as opposed to pro-tech type. I read that these ar the best custom clay you can buy. I will post them when I get them (July). From what I have read the problems are only in the time it takes to get them, nobody has said they didnt like them. As long as they were upfront and told me 8-12 weeks I have no problem..... Good things come to those who wait.....right?

Don't be surprised if it takes longer- my January order finally arrived today and they didn't have custom centers

OK here's the list:

Pokerchips.com
Pressed composit 3 spot chips

Good: cheapest art charge / small minimum.
Bad: They are overwhelmed with orders and appear to be cutting some corners.

http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com/
Injection molded plastic composit chips by RT plastics of Nevada

Good: lots of varations to choose from + they have a good selection of "stock" chips if you don't want to go the full custom route.
Bad: BIG art charge and high minimum.

http://www.thechipstore.com/
Chipco chip reseller
Good: Real Chipco chips. small minimum
Bad: Chip RESELLER - art and chip prices high

Chipco:

Ceramic chips with overprinting

Good: Real casino chips
Bad: not real edge spoting - higher minimum order OK art charges.

I've ordered chips from Pokerchips.com; The Gamblers general store and am the process of getting a set of chips for a charity tournament from Chipco.

All provided good service.

$35 is not high at all for artwork (much cheaper than chipco direct) and the chips are .90 fully customized and you don't have to order 2500. I bought from here and it WAS cheaper than buying direct because of the cheaper artwork charges and min lot size.

Do your research better.
