From John Vorhaus,

Glenn Hughes moves all-in... and everyone holds their breath. But Marcel Luske folds, so we stall momentarily at 10-handed. There will be a brief break in the action while we consolidate the players at the final table and get a final table chip count.

Is he implying they are playing 10 handed tonight?

My problem is: Vorhaus implies that they will play 10-handed AT ONE TABLE. That can't be right. The final table is 9-handed, it has been every year so far as I know. Heck, every table has been 9-handed maximum.

Live Action Poker is reporting this as well... but they note that it isn't the "official" final table.

Default Not officially the \"final table,\" but pretty sure this is standard

If you recall last year's ESPN broadcast, they were down to 10 and all players were at one table. Ivey and Moneymaker got into the boat over boat hand (I believe Moneymaker hit an A on the river to make Aces full of Queens to beat Ivey's turned 9s full of Queens).

This knocked Ivey out and brought it down to 9 players and they broke for the night.

Official "final table" began the next day.

Wasn't it like this last year. They had one table going until the 10th person (Ivey?) was out?

Wacky. O.K., I wasn't clear on that from 2003. It seems an odd way to do it ,but what the heck.
