Default Playing with a Friend at a B&M

I am taking a friend to Foxwoods for his first B&M experience. He is part of my weekly home game and he also has online experience. It seems kind of weird to go with him only to not see him for 6 hours if we sit at different tables. Here are my questions:

1. Does it make sense to try and sit at the same table?
2. What would be the best way to go about that?

Thanks.

I often play with friends. Generally, you can ask the floor for a seat change to your friend's table and they will oblige.

So you suggest just taking the first available seats (most likely at different tables) and then one of us asking for a table change to the other's table? I guess that makes the most sense.

YOu can both ask, then you can move to whichever table has a seat first. Or you can see which table is fishier and transfer to that one.
