Hi folks,
Last night was my first attempt at the 1/2 tables. I noticed that there were an awful lot of aggressive bluffs, any sign of weakness was pounced on. Is this par for the course on the 1/2 tables? Anyhow, on to the hand histories: 1) Other than the obvious mistake of slowplaying the flush on the turn. Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $1. UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 (poster) checks, CO folds, Button folds, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero bets, BB raises, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, Hero calls. Turn: (6.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, BB folds, UTG+1 folds. River: (8.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 14.50 BB Results in white below: Hero shows 8d Kd (flush, king high). MP2 shows 9h 5s (full house, fives full of nines). Outcome: MP2 wins 14.50 BB. 2) An hour or so later at a different table. I learned my lesson from the last hand and don't slowplay the flush. Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, Hero raises, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls. Flop: (8.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) BB bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls. Turn: (5.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) BB bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls. River: (11.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 13.75 BB Results in white below: BB shows 8h 8s (full house, eights full of tens). Hero shows Ad Qd (flush, ace high). Outcome: BB wins 13.75 BB. 3) Yet another table, no clear reads. This guy just confused me, couldn't figure out for the life of me what he had. I was thinking it was a bluff at first. Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds. Flop: (9.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, CO folds. Turn: (6.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises, Hero calls. River: (10.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, Hero calls. Final Pot: 14.25 BB Results in white below: Hero shows Ac Td (two pair, tens and nines). UTG+2 shows 3s 3d (full house, threes full of nines). Outcome: UTG+2 wins 14.25 BB. Hind-sight being 20/20, I see the following mistakes: 1) slowplayed the flush, got crushed 3) UTG raise was foolish Thanks in advance for your help. |
