Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
Hand 1. typically I would check behind on the river as probably an 8 beats you plus any 9 or J beats you plus there are flush and straight possibilities. Here because the SB is going to be all-in the bet is fine because you cannot be raised and a lot of people will just throw that last dollar in with anything because they don't care anymore and their odds are so large.
Hand 2. I would call because your late blind should reduce the raising stndards for MP enough that you cannot assume you are behind and you will have position throughout the hand. Regards, Paul |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually, Hero is in the BB, so he will be out of position for the remainder of the hand to the MP openraiser and the coldcaller. Consequently, I would usually toss the ATo without a second thought, unless I knew that this player was a very light openraiser from MP. |

Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
Hand 1:
I wouldn't have bet the river unless I had put the SB all in. Hand 2: I'm the BB. If I had posted in the CO I'm more likely to raise this hand I think. Call at least. |

Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
What range of hands did you put SB on at what is the most likely?

Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
Since I knew nothing about him, he could have just about anything since he's short stacked. Most likely is 8x, flush draw, straight draw.
My river bet was not a good one I think. |

Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
With the SB nearly all in I think the river bet is fine. He really could have anything.
Hand 2 is an easy fold. |

Re: Flopping TP when posting in the CO
Yeah that's what I'm getting at.
However, I think the most likely 8s are 78,98, and a8. So if you are fairly confident he would have raised the turn with a flush, and will still call with a crappy 8 or no pair, there can be some value in the bet. I missed the part about where he was short stacked. |
