Whether or not I capped the turn would depend on how my opponent plays. But if I capped the turn then I'd lead the river.

He finally made 2 pair on the river and I had him so scared that he checked behind. I 4 bet thinking he might have something like a Q high diamond draw plus I have outs to beat any 2 pair. The 9 also completed a straight in the off chance he had something like KT diamonds. In general I agree with you but I just didn't want to get raised again and didn't feel comfortable folding to a raise.
I generally wouldn't even 4 bet the turn here but I had previously seen this opponent 3 bet the turn and fold to a 4 bet. This pot was getting to the point where I wanted him to give up a single pair so I could just win it right there on the turn. |
