Garland, in most cases, I would agree with you. However, you have to consider the fact that this table is full of tried-and-true MANIACS who don't play with a definite strategy. Therefore, they could easily have two pair, trips, or an overpair. In addition, they probably wouldn't expect someone calling the raise preflop with 67o. Therefore, his hand is fairly well-hidden, and I seriously doubt either of them has QJ. The most likely hands are a set or a flush draw, and if the guy has something like a nut-flush draw you want to bet him off it or at least to force him call with incorrect odds, thus giving you positive equity.
