I have heard that players should make 3 times the BB per hour to be considered successful at limit hold em. What about for no limit? The same, or different?

Technically speaking, you're "successful" at limit hold'em if you make more than 0 BB/hr. Winning's winning, right?
The actual number is something like 1 to 2 BB/hr. NL should be slightly higher if you're good at it because of less variance. Do a search. There's plenty of posts about it. |

i think you will see the opinions on here differ greatly in regards to NL expectation.
i think 6-8BB is easily achievable by a good player. |
