I think that without improvement, the turn is an easy check. In that you DID improve, you may well have the best hand, and your draw remains incredibly strong. The fact that he called up the SB heads-up and could check-call the flop does make me a tiny bit concerned that he might have touched that ace, but I don't think that given the relative strength of your hand (both currently and as a draw) that a turn bet is too bad.
