Default 5-10 Kill game

I was invited to a home game of 5 10 with a kill. It is a very loose passive game. Easy to beat. That is untill it becomes a kill pot, which is whenever someone wins a pot over $140. Then everyone goes nuts and bets and caps pre-flop and post flop. Have lost a bundle in kill pots in the two 5 hour sessons that I have played. What recommendations would you think I should/could make to this game, aside from not playing it it?

IMHO I would tighten up 2 or 3 hand groups and be very wary of position.

If when the kill comes and everybody turns into a maniac, you have to tighten up considerably and go into 3bet or fold mode with many of your hands. The last thing you want to do is limp in the middle with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and have it raised twice behind you.

Reread the loose games section of HPFAP. Tighten up in early position, but you should not miss out on the game for fear of it being too loose. Just make the adjustments, play well and take the money.
