it is strictly a math thingy. you are getting 2 to 1 for your call. if you think your hand will win more than 33.3% of the time in this situation you call. simple simon.

of course I agree...but isn't the whole point of the theory of poker to induce incorrect calls and mistakes from your opponents??...and the more complex the situation the more likely this is to occur. Frankly I have seen very few poker players myself that can calculate precise odds on the spot in the heat of battle necessary to make this foolproof...
