I don't think we should call bad play BADBEATS anymore...! We should just say we got Moneymakered. I am a little jealous that such a louse is the reigning World Champion even though his shiznit at the WSOP drew in so many fat fish this year that I have profited from!

I hate him because all of my sparetime where I catch that elusive horrific coverage from ESPN on the WSOP has been ruined. Now when I wait for Late-Night Poker on FoxSports or the WPT (thank god for the WPT) or the Showdown at the Sands or even the World Series of Blackjack at the Mohegan on the GSN, I still get sucked into the WSOP coverage thinking that Moneymaker didn't play that bad and the horror comes to life again.

What was he thinking? Did they really have to show his fat ignorant dad speculating with his play by play? If I hear his dad say one more time, "I knew he could play, but I didn't know he was this good," I am GOING TO SCREAM. BTW, I wonder how much of his millions went to the buffet at the RIO?

So to all the great players like me that hardly lose, make good money, but can't seem to save up enough money to take a run at bigger tourneys or limits (I have 4 kids and I'm 31) lets tell Chris Butterbutt Moneymaker how we really feel. He wouldn't last a week in my world....

i like that moneymaker won the wsop. shows it up as the luck circus it really is. he seems like an okay guy and it was funny watching him beat those grizzled old fish at the final table. hopefully this year's will produce as equally interesting a champion.

You're complaining about Moneymaker? Varkonyi was a much worse reigning champion. I don't know whether he made many bad plays, but I didn't like his smug smile every time his AA or QT won. Though he did shave Hellmuth's head, much to his (Hellmuth's) dismay.
