Default Cincinnati Area Card Rooms

I am going to be working out of Cincinnati for a little over a month this summer and was wondering if anyone knows of any poker games in the area?

Thanks

Caesars is the only one with poker, unless things have changed. And thats a good 2 hours from Cincy.

Andd the rake there is even worse now that they drop for a jackpot. If you plan on making any money there, you'd better play 10/20 or better.

used to live in the cincy area.

there are rumors that the Grand Vic (about 40 mins from Cincy) is going to add a poker-room....but just rumors and no immediate plans to my knowledge.

the closest poker-room is Caesar's in Louisville which is about 2 hours away. didn't know the rake was as bad as was mentioned.

Tunica (south of memphis) is probably about 7-8 hours for you if you want to make a long weekend trip. 5 poker-rooms down here.

because of the lack of 'real' poker-rooms in cincy area, you may have a little luck finding a good home-game if you happen to meet the right people.

i think most of your fun times will have to be of the non-poker variety in Mt. Adams, Covington/Newport and other bar/club spots of the area.
or you can hang-out at the BJ and 3-card poker tables at the Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg.

These rumors have been around for awhile and nothing yet

Have to try that.

I haven't had much luck in that department

Mt. Adams is full of yuppies trying to park SUV's in parking designed for cars no bigger than Geo Metro's and then paying $8/drink for watered down drinks.

Nothing good in Covington, but the Newport Levee is pretty nice, albiet expensive. Cincinnati does not have a NYC/Chicago style club scene. Most of the bars are more of a neighborhood type.

Yeah, if you can afford $10 or $15 mins on everything. Which I can't. If you are going to play BJ or other table games, I recommend Grand Victoria which is a little farther, but usually has $5 mins.

BTW, to the original poster or anyone else interested in a home game, msg me.
