Default \"one player to a hand\"

Yee-IKES. I thought I waas nigh un-tiltable, but today someone practically ordered another player to call my AK-hi bluff. This was a Party NL-$50 game, my first few hands of that in a couple months. Violating that rule isn't so bad in low limit, but in NL it seems pretty hard to overcome.

Boy, it made me mad. Ever hear of "a blind rage"? I had it. I was so mad I had tunnel vision. Like they say, stress is when you have to choke someone but you can't. And I was about to try reaching through my cable modem to get this guy.

Anyway, do sites ever send players nastygrams about this rule? I'ld prefer not to leave a table he plays at.
1) don't want to bother
2) he seems to be a bit of fish.

Thanks.

It wouldn't hurt to email support. Sometimes they'll send the player a warning. I hope you weren't playing at Party, though. They'd probably give the guy extra starting chips or something.

Just let nature take it's course. Next time the guy will order him to call when you have the nuts and you'll make money. Just like in blackjack when some fool hits 16 against a 6 and causes you to lose. You're upset then, but when he does the same thing later and causes you to win, you are happy. Same deal here.

I will have to respectfully disagree.

The person who orders and shouts the call may not know everybodys cards but nevertheless, that player still has extra information in the form knowing his/her two folded cards. Even that bit of information (whether it is valid or not) should not be transmitted to another player.

The last thing a serious poker player wants is a poker game that degrades into a public shouting match telling a player what to do.

For the sake of the integrity of the game, I will e-mail party or whatever site to hopefully take stern action which may include muzzling the abuser.

Thanks for the input. I already sent suport the hand number with my complaint before I posted here. I'ld be pleaseantly surprised if they tell me they sent him a warning.

I for one don't think letting players give in-hand advice can be a wash win/loss wise for the "victim". He sees his cards, he will probably only give advice when he has a good idea what is going on, and there is a certain cool detachment that comes when you no longer have an interest in the pot.

Default followup, Party \"service\"

I got a response from Party support. They failed to notice that I was writing about a rules violation.
Full e-mail chain to date:

No, not profanity. Please re-read my original message (below). I wrote to you about a "one player to a hand" violation. This is a basic rule of poker. It is enforced in every poker room that I know of.

Hand #557809587
player: bigswgdk
NLHE live, $50, table "Boogie Woogie"

Blatant and unrepentant.

I really and truly will NOT play NL on your site unless it is made
clear that this is not tolerated. Thanks.

You'll have more luck with Party's support if you actually cut and paste the HH, rather than just refer to the hand number. You should also highlight (bold) the actions you are complaining about and explain your complaint very clearly. Also, I would recommend sending the complaint to alerts@partypoker.com.

I don't really see a problem here. I personally never do that, but if you go to the $215 single table tourneys, when theres 4 people left people are always screaming for others to call all in bets.
