I'm enjoying the paradoxes of this thread. Good stuff. The thread itself is kinda like playing a hand.

Well I am in with the all in reraise.
My idea is to give a complete package, get people in first witha messageboard with discussions about poker, get a couple of known players to front it to get people in. Then we could release I dunno, maybe instruction manuals on how to play maybe $15-$20 each, and do one for each poker type to get repeat sales. We could even do manuals for other casino type gambling. Then as the overheads are very high to setup a poker room we could just get the main ones to buy advertising for all the potential players we have attracted. Anyone think this would work? If not I also have an idea about a automated program that plays for you online and also have deseigned a database that will covert hand histories into notes and stats that can help develop your play. Joking aside I would be interested in hearing any idea and am looking for a secondary back up business/hobby but had always fancied running small record label. |

Dave,
You want to start a record company? Maybe you can promote my new CD when it comes out. It will be my 2nd release and I'm working on it now. |

[ QUOTE ]
I am in the process of starting a unique poker business, and was just interested to see if anyone else had any unique business ideas in poker and wanted to share. [/ QUOTE ]I have a unique business plan. It mostly involves going to the poker room and increasing my cash reserves through various monetary bets placed based on the expected value and strength of the playing card combinations randomly dealt to me relative to those dealt to my coleagues. The profit margins are spectacular. Patrick |
