Re: Congratulations Tosh!
Thanks, in my opinion, everyone who was at the final table played great. Congratulations to you also.
I've been practicing playing fast, when the right situations occur, and this tournament was one of them. There weren't guys out there, who where going to coldcall with say A6 suited, or something like that, so the first raise in was going to win a lot of pots. The hard part, is finding the right raise size to win enough hands, while still being able to play postflop, and to not give up to much if people move in after your raise. Anyway, it is kinda fun to be playing in a tournament doing my Minh the Master/Scotty Nguyen/Daniel Negreanu impersonation instead of my usual more disciplined ring game. Once again, congratulations on your showing. Good luck, play well, Bob T. |

And this, for my first 2+2 post. And a fine post it was, welcome to the forum. If we were limp reraising with pocket Queens, I can see how we lost. Good luck, play well, Bob T. [/ QUOTE ] Bob, why would you say we here? It is all fun but you have class, don't lump yourself in with people who tend to lack it. As I have stated, I read/post on both forums so... At any rate, it was great fun and I look forward to the next one. |

Re: Congratulations Tosh!
That definitely was some fast play... It didn't help that I had Tosh building a monster stack to my right.
Here's pretty much how that whole final table went for me. I look down and see a decent hand (KJ,A10,88,A9, etc.) and think "Sweet, I can finally play". Then boom, Tosh raises and I can't continue. He had only shown two hands down at the time, and one of them was KK. I kept thinking about coming over the top of him with some of those hands, but couldn't drum up the heart to do so.. Next time maybe.. |

Re: Congratulations Tosh!
You are right, I don't know if he showed down any other hands, besides the AA, and KK, tha he showed me. I wish I had played with a little less courage against him .
Good luck, play well, Bob T. |

I limp UTG w/ QQ, intending to limp-reraise one of the ignorant ITH'ers at my original table. [/ QUOTE ] I bleieve you have lost the right to call us ignorant. Win one of these and then you can fire away. Big congrats to all of the final tablers. As the short stack I felt put upon and way out of my league, but actually....... well, no. I was way out of my league. 'grats, Tosh! |

My apologies
Seadood and company,
I was just talking a little friendly trash with the "ignorant ITH'er" comment. Sorry if it offended anyone. If you look through all of my previous posts, you'll find that I have absolutely no history of bad-mouthing people or whining or any of that. And yes, my early exit clearly didn't back up my previous smack-talk. But I don't live in a results-oriented world, so I will live to fight another day. I was happy with all of my tourney plays but one, and it wasn't the QQ limp-reraise, which was very clearly the correct choice at that point. Anyway, again I'm sorry if I really offended anyone. That was not my intention. Have a good one. Justin |
