[ QUOTE ]
Winning the blinds would have been preferable to losing that pot, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

One can make a good case for raising or limping, depending on the game, your style, etc.

Whether you win the blinds or lose the pot in this specific hand is irrelevant.

Losing this pot is preferable to winning the blinds in this hand if limping w/ KK here is part of an overall strategy that gets you the most money over time.

I agree w/ your thoughts here Jay. However, I don't think a limp is all that bad. If you raise and get called, it will very likely DECREASE the action you might get if he hits something like middle pair. Your hand is so strong that it will usually hold up against any 2 random cards, and since you have position, there is no need to blow off your whole stack if you feel like you're losing.

I'm not saying you shouldn't raise, but limping isn't really that bad.

Gomez,

I am in agreement with most of the other posters. You need to raise here with KK. The BB might think you are stealing and play back at you. Folding on the turn is definitely the right play with no read on this player I wouldnt want to risk my stack on that board.
