I made my choice, I close my PartyPoker account. - mongeron [/ QUOTE ] Wouldn't NOT playing in the tournament be an easier alternative? |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
Well, that would be easier, but it would not put no pressure towards Party to change their policy.
And it's not a loss for me, since there are no games for me at Party. |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
If there are no games for you at party, then I would imagine you aren't playing there much. If you aren't playing there much, how does leaving put any pressure on them?

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
Wow, people really will complain about anything.
I've read dozens of posts here complaining that poker rooms, especially Party, don't do anything for their loyal customers. Now they do something people complain that they are discriminating against non-customers. If Party gives a reload bonus to existing customers only, is that discriminating against people that don't have accounts there? What if they decide to give 50% of everyone's rake back? Is that discriminating against people that play exclusively at Stars? You're being ridiculous. |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
I agree that if someone is going to pay 600-40 to enter a tournament, the starting chips should be equal for all. These extra starting chip bonuses are only good for free roll MTT's.

Also wanna add a PITIFUL PATHETIC FORTH field, have had way too many of them lately. [/ QUOTE ] If I was bothered by the extra starting chips, I would not enter the tournament. Think it's already been mentioned and seems like a pretty easy concept to me. |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
I have played about every $215 weekend tournament Party has run, and I've also played many smaller ones. I've also played hundreds of 1-table sit & go tournaments.
None of those are good for extra chips. |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
Personally for me, it makes the tournament -EV, since I don't get equal chips for my money. Since there is no way to make the same money at Party as at better places, I have to lose money to get the same chance as other players.
What is the Zoo's opinion on this issue? - mongeron Personally for me, you not playing, is like adding another pay-spot for me to shoot for. I just wrote a post "Add. starting chip tournaments" recently(I would provide a link to it, but I'm challenged in this area) that showed how steep the cover charge is to non-Party cash players, but Party tournament regulars. Btw, have I mentioned that I won a seat to this tournament for $11? <MS doing the happy dance> I have? Sorry. MS Sunshine |

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
Why is he being ridiculous? It would be ridiculous (stupid)for him to play in such a tournie. Party will loose quite a few entries because of this for sure.

Re: PartyPoker discriminating players.
i think the advantage is pretty succinct in this event, especially with the stakes being so high. perhaps they could offer more chips if people give more to the house.
