Bad Call???
UB- NLHE- .50/$1
I'd been playing well all day- and I'm up a little so I thought I'd gamble.... Sitting on the button ($80) I'm dealt a 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villian is UTG ($34) Pre-flop: Villian raises to $2 3 callers Flop (board: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]): Villian goes all-in for $31.50. Everyone folds- Hero calls. Turn (Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]): River (9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]): Showdown: Villain shows Kc Ad. two pair, kings and nines. Hero shows 7h 9h. three nines. Hero wins $68.50 with three nines. When he went all-in, he was shortstacked a little desperate I figured maybe he caught his set- most likely he wants to bank his pair of K's- preflop raise was a giveaway... Do I have sufficient outs to warrant a call- any heart, 7 or a 9??? I thought it was good....am i just asking for trouble? Balls of steel? Or all balls no brain??? |

Re: Bad Call???
You had a coin flip hand and hit. Easy call. The only hand you are in bad shape against is a set.

Re: Bad Call???
Hi tedtodd,
Your call on the flop was fine. It was an even money race, as it often is when you hold two live suited cards and hit a pair-plus-four vs. a bigger pair. In fact, you were a slight favorite, and it would've been an FTOP mistake had you folded. Cris |
