Default Really Nice Set of Chips on Ebay

I'm new here, but I've noticed several topics on buying chips for home games. (Including one by me ) Anyway, In my search I found a listing on Ebay for a set that I would love to purchase if I had the money. But since I don't, and since they seem extremely rare I thought I might post here in case someone has been looking for a similar set. Enjoy! Oh and if you've got enough money to consider these, how about sending some my way JK

WOW. Those are really nice.
But $$900.00 USD? That's a little excessive.

for 300-500 chips? You're kidding, right? The listing says 500 but only about 300 are pictured unless my count is off.

Go to www.pokerchips.com You can have custom ones made for 1/3 of that crappy price. I don't know about the metal insert claim, but if it was worth $900, why did the bidding start at $9?

Would someone please tell me the psychology behind the whole "splashing the pot" thing? I mean, it seems like people can't talk about poker chips without talking about pot splashing, which is pretty rude in the context of fair gameplay.

Being obsessed with poker chip quality and feel, I can well appreciate the way that the chips sound when you drop them, riffle them, shuffle them, or even stack them, but this whole pot splashing thing completely escapes me.

Is this some sort of metaphor for urinating whilst standing?

Ok, sorry about that last post. I do have chips very similar to this and I've got to warn you that the touch and feel is definitely plastic. And when you riffle thru them or splash the pot, you will get a plastic and hollow tin sound. I don't mean to be commercial here, really. I have a good deal of knowledge on the poker chips that are out there and just want to help out as it can be confusing to the uninitiated.
