I've read so far here that a lot of you like the chips from chipco and thechipstore... I just bought a set from pokerchipsusa.com. An 800 set of the "12 gram professional" chips they have and it seems like a great deal. Understandably they are not clay chips, but I plan on using them for home games like the rest of us, and wanted the most amount of decent chips for the money. Plus I like their style...
My question is.... what do you all have at home? By the way, this is my first post on these boards, and would definitly enjoy a 2+2 SNG on stars in the furture with you all. |

I'm pretty new here, too, but I'll say. "Welcome to the forum", anyway.
In response to your informal survey, we're using (mostly) the standard 8.5 gram diamond chips. We started with a set of 500 mainly because we wanted to hold a tournament and we couldn't really do that with nickels, dimes, and quarters. As our game grew, we added another 250 diamond chips and 100 of the six-bar chips. We use the latter as "high denomination" chips for tournaments and NL/PL ring games. They ain't fancy, but they're a lot more convenient than pocket change. They're a lot more accurate, too, a big plus since we started keeping stats. |

If your going to send folks to your own site at least have the courtesy to identify yourself as the owner:
[ QUOTE ] you might want to consider casino quality clay poker chips from this site. [/ QUOTE ] It's in the terms and conditions, etc.. somewhere. Anyway welcome to the forum. Edit: I like that your here and am sure your intentions are ok - I just need to nitpick something today. Orange |
