daryn,
a rather dumb reason, but i've had it come up: on a few occasions, i've happened to sit at party tables at which other people from Boston were present. these were strangers to me, but i've had people say things such as "hmm, two people from the same town, i'll be keeping an eye on you guys." not an issue since they were strangers, but generally, the less attention people are paying to my play, the happier i am. |

i can understand this, but this also could be an argument FOR showing locations..
for instance, you sit down to a 15-30 6 max game to find all other 5 players are from Bergen.. oops! |

My response would be "Yeah, there are only a few million people in Boston!"
I'm in favor of showing the town, though. |

There were 4 people from Austin at the only NL $200 at True yesterday. They were all sitting in a row too. (Ok, I was one of them, and they were all strangers who I had played with on the site).
