Default Shoe In of the Week

In the sweet 16, I had Illinois penciled in to make the final four. They face Duke in the sweet 16, so I have to go with them here. I think Duke is getting a bit too much credit because of their rep. Take Illinois, both on the money line (+280) and with the points (+7). Its Big Al's Shoe In of the Week.--Big Al--

OK... im obviously a little baised here but i do think Illinois has a pretty decent chance. If their guards are hitting their shot, Head plays his "A" game and Augustine stays out of foul trouble they will make it a good game. This is still a young team and i worry that if they fall behind early they may never recover. Notice that most of their loses this year were by big margins. If they shoot 45% from the field i think they win this one.

This could be a bad combination. One of Dook's favorite tactics is to really jump on teams early. If Dook starts the game with a big run and Illinois gets discouraged/can't recover it could get ugly (see: 2nd round v. Seton Hall plus many other games)

That being said, I don't think this Dook team is as good as past teams and I'll be pulling for Illini +7.5.

The number seems a bit inflated, but this is where laying bigger chalk starts to make sense. A veteran team led by a great coach goes out of their way to demolish their opponent if they can. There is no letup from this point on in the tournament. In earlier rounds Duke was playing teams they could be careless against and still get the win. They know that is over now so if they get a chance, they pound away and keep doing it until the clock says 0.

Not to mention, feels weird Big Al backing a dog?!?!?!

As much as I agree with you here WB, I've got a list which includes items, such as "messing around with Jim", "spitting into the wind", "tugging on superman's cape", and "fading Big Al."

I do think +280 was a good price, although I didn't find it.

Default Re: which online site should I put this bet on?

I just play NL but I'd just like to put like $500 on this game. Hit and run basically. Which site has fast cashout and any kind of bonus for 1 bet.
