WPT season 1 worth buying?
Hi,
I live in Europe so I've missed the WPT revolution in the US. I saw that it is possible to buy the first season. Is it worth buying? |

Re: WPT season 1 worth buying?
Since no one is objecting I'm ordering it. If nothing else I'm curious of what makes the poker world spin. I just hope it's worth $100. Oh well, it's that or a new TV. I pray that the picture will stay stable...

Re: WPT season 1 worth buying?
Joshua, WPT series 1 is excellent and the DVD package has been put together very nicely. However, since you live in Europe you will need an adapted DVD player that can play Region 1 DVDs.
Hope that helps, Andrew |

Re: WPT season 1 worth buying?
Both my DVD-player and my TV can handle NTSC. The only problem is my remote which sometimes seem like it belongs to some other TV...

Re: WPT season 1 worth buying?
Big Country, There are 8 DVDs in the box. The first seven cover the 13 original episodes and the last one contains 'Poker Primer' and 'Road to the Championship'. It's basically a complete set of the first season.
More details are available at http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/...701171-1547909 Hope that helps, Andrew |

Re: WPT season 1 worth buying?
yeah, if you've got the spare cash lying around it's probably worth buying. i didn't buy the dvd-set but have seen most, if not all, of the episodes on the tele.
some of it is pretty good....other parts will probably leave you wondering why you spent so much money on it. but you're correct that it's probably worth getting just to see what all the fuss is about and get an idea as to the mindset of the typical american fish...however, if you can figure out their mindset you're a step up on me. |
