Does anyone make this play?
1 Table Sat. for entrance for NeW England Poker classic at foxwoods. 10,000 chips in play, heads up stacks about even. Blinds are 300 / 600. I am in the big with 7C9C (I know) and call a min raise 1200. Flop comes 8h3c8d and is checked to me.I am might as well be playing 2 7 I feel the only way to win here is to bet he will probably fold his big cards to a big bet with 2400 in the pot what do you bet or do you just check anf fold to the certain bet on the turn?
Well I bet all-in he had Q8 off. I know my pre-flop was terrible but do you bet with any 2 cards in post flop? |

Re: Does anyone make this play?
He raised with Q8o, and you called 1200 with 97s? Then you went all in?
1) Don't call with that hand 2) Pushing in seems like it would be a decent play here, but he got lucky with his flop. If he hadn't hit trips, he would be folding (or if he was actually holding a hand like AA, or KK) |

Re: Does anyone make this play?
What were the stack sizes? Also it looks like your opponent is in the small blind, is that correct?
