Re: Something I Really Dislike about the Paradise System
"Paradise Poker charges a 9% fee on gross tournament buy-ins, including re-buys and add-ons. There is no rake in multi-table tournaments. "

Re: Paradise poker multis have no rake?
I can't believe some of you people. Do you want everything for free? Do you see space aliens at night? Sometimes I think that this is the site for those bipolar who forgot to take their meds. If a site charges a buck or two and that bothers you, go out and get a real job instead of hiding behind your pocket protectors.

Yes. In Cyberspace, no-one can hear you scream. Lori |

Re: Paradise poker multis have no rake?
The rake at other sites is not 10 %, it is 9,1 %! (The rake is e.g. $1 out of a $11 entrance fee.) Paradise therefore have a lower rake, but the difference is small.

Re: Paradise poker multis have no rake?
Sorry Elvis, but 10+1 is a buyin + 10% fee (rake).

Re: Paradise poker multis have no rake?
Sorry giga, but 9% of $11 is also $1, so it's the same. (With $10 going to the prize pool). It's just a matter if you count the rake as a percentage of your overall cost or the rake as a percentage of the the amount that goes to the prize pool. It should be thought of as the percentage of the total cost to you. if you used a hypothetical $1 + $1 (rake) entry tournament, then by your way of looking at it, the rake would be 100%, when in actuality it is only %50 of your total fee to enter.

Re: Paradise poker multis have no rake?
It's faulty logic and semantics. By the same token, a $1 item with 6% sales tax... your way it looks like 5.6% sales tax...
You don't count the fee in and then determine percentage. Fee and Rake aren't the same. $1+$1 is a buyin plus a 100% fee, thanks, drive through. |
