Default Trojan Horse attack?

Was online the other night on both Party and UB via dialup and Norton advised me of trojan horse attacks. I immediately disconnected and reconnected. Anybody else getting hit by these? I was not accessing any web pages at the time btw.

Cheers,

Iggy

webiggy,

I wouldn't worry about it. Most of these attacks are kind of like pings to your machine. First, you'd have to download something malicious through e-mail attachment, whatever. Then someone pings your machine to see if you've been infected. If so, then they exploit you. But the majority of the Norton warnings are just to let you know that someone is checking your machine. You can use Norton to trace the IP and report the person to their Internet provider, but usually this does no good. Good thing you have Norton - someone who does find a Trojan virus on your pc completely owns your computer.
