I usually just read and not post, but I didn't find this asked anywhere, so I wanted to ask... The commonly quoted hourly rate for a winning player is one big bet per hour. This has been around for ages. It refers to the rate of earnings at a live game. What does this translate to for online play? I assume there is some standard rate for per 100 hands. What is it? I would think about 30-35 hands per hour in a live game, so 3 bets over 100 hands live, so 3 BB/ 100 hands as an online rate is the measuring stick. Since you generally play many more hands per hour online then in a live game, can someone who says they make 1 BB/hr online really say they are playing winning poker? Thanks to all who respond.

[/ QUOTE ] Sure he can. Is he as good as a player making 1BB/Hour in a B&M? Prolly not, but hes still winning which is more than most players can claim. |
