All the evidence would suggest pocket TT for the bad guy. The cold-call is "book." With only one overcard on the flop and an undercard on the turn, it's worth sticking around for some river magic.

He had QQ.

He executed a good slow play and extracted as much money as possible from me. I guess I should have known it was QQ, KK, or AA from the cold calls?

Just for clarity's sake: on the flop, turn and river, you can't open the action with a raise. It's a lot easier to understand if you say "bet, call" or "bet, raise, call".

I wouldn't call this a good slowplay personally -- anyone else? My headsup play sucks so I could be mistaken.

He would have gotten the same amount of money by raising preflop then raising the flop, since he's got position on you, plus he would easily isolate you that way. Especially if you would have 3-bet him on the flop with that. I don't know if I would 3-bet a Jack high flop vs preflop raiser, hmm I'll think about that.

He did extract more. If our hero was trying to buy the pot, then he could have strung him on for longer, as opposed to chasing him off on the flop. The problem is that our hero could've been betting something like AT, and the queens would've been cracked by an ace. The way it turns out, the villain wouldn't have been better off one way or another. But he's got no way of knowing the hero has TPTK.
