Default How beatable is a 15 cent line?

I have wanted to start a small bankroll and try and bet boxing since I have an extensive knowledge about this sport but I was wondering if the break is too large for me to be long term ahead?

I think you mean 30 cent line. -115 each side?

This type of line is very beatable, but all comes down to well you can handicap. Try doing it small or even just on paper and see how you do. Also doesn't hurt to have lots of outs so you can shop for the best line. Among the best boxing books online (you may already know these):

thegreek.com
5Dimes.com
WSEX.com
PinnacleSports.com

yeah thanks I know the sites, I was thinking since -110 lay is almost impossible for the average player to beat the -115 lay is down right impossible. By the way why is boxing -115?

Depends on the book and the size of the favorite. If the line is close to even a lot of books might book it at -110. Pinnacle will book it even lower. Many books though do deal a worse line because they don't get that much action on it unless it is a really big fight and if they don't get much action they deal a bad line because they will get people that must bet on the fight and/or people that are very sharp and might have some info that could be useful.

You don't have to lay -115 - the line is much smaller on exchanges like betfair or tradesports - 4 or 5% commission on winning bets only.

You might have trouble getting the action you want on minor fights though.

Yeah. I'm just getting started in sports betting, but it seems like "exchanges" like those would have a lot of advantages over traditional bookmakers - in addition to the lower juice, you can get much higher action, and they offer bets in a huge range of markets.
