IMO, you don't have the odds for a call on the turn. Two flush draws are on the board. The bettor could be on a semi-bluff, but likely already has at least a pair. Two of the 10s that can come put a flush on the board, so even if you do hit your card, there's a chance you don't have the best hand. Too many negatives for the gutshot here on the turn, IMO, though I think the call on the flop was fine.

I would raise the flop here, to a) buy the button b) free card (if you choose to take one) c) perhaps clean up your outs a bit d) information.

Consider raising UTG's flop bet. It may buy you the button and allow you to take a free card if you do not improve on the turn.

HEPFAP has an example of overcards w/ a gutshot being a very big hand that should be played aggressively. That being said, I think you should raise the pot.

Hopefully you get the free card on the turn.

Unfortunately I don't have the page number and just had knee surgery so I'm not getting up to find the book for you.

Thx all, I was hoping that this was an easy raise.

UTG had A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
CO: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for the winner.
