While trying to get to sleep at 5.00am this morning,

1 At the moment we have Ultimate Bet Mini View and True poker at the two extremes. Extending these two extremes and allowing clients to customise the audio/visual aspects of the game a lot more.

There is a market for a spreadsheet like suite of tables where the user can conveniently view and play lots of games at once on even a small monitor connected to a crappy graphics card.

At the other end there are plenty of people who think True is the best there is, but wouldn’t it be nice if… I guess the characters could be customised in various ways and people could introduce their own graphic components, certainly not easy but I am sure we will get there eventually.

2 There is probably a reason why no one has produced a client for the Pocket PC/Mobile Telephone/etc. I don’t believe it’s too difficult, or even far away. Certainly the first site to do this will get some sort of initial boost.

3 Everyone who has seen The Poker Club’s lobby has thought how cute, wouldn’t be nice if I really had a gadget like that. It would need a fair size initial capital output but could prove a winner.

I am sure someone who is not desperately trying to stop thinking about this and go to sleep could come up with something better.

As to rate rebate, it’s unlikely to make much difference to me. Despite all the words I don’t think the rake is that big a deal. You can spend as much as want on advertising but if there is no reason why someone should chose your site over another then they wont.

At this point I feel spending my time here is a waste, I can't get constructive critiicism here, all I get is "You are an ass" with no reason or particulars... In other words. no evidence I have ever done anything wrong in the past

[/ QUOTE ]

Ryan;

You have essentially made two appearances here as a poster. The first was when you were complaining about Prima freezing your account when you had done nothing wrong, etc. Now, at the beginning of this thread you say you "think you know why" and later on admit to violating prima's TOC's regarding bonuses. Doesn't do a whole lot for your credibility, imo.

In this thread you come on and ask for feedback from people about what they are looking for in a new site (which you would supposedly be opening and financing yourself with all the money you made from online porn) and when the credibility issue is justifiably raised you have no explanation other than engaging in flame wars and spouting off about what a great businessman you are and how much money you've made, etc., etc., etc. Well I've met a few businessmen in my time and none of them have acted like that toward their potential customers. Especially when it's a start up with a very high risk of failure.

You really ought to read this whole thread over and if you still don't see why there's reason for people to think you're an ass, then I suggest you give up the poker idea and stick to porn or whatever else it is you do. Because you'll never make it in a customer service oriented business with that attitude.

At first I assumed Net Teller was sharing some information regarding a check I had bounced at one point of time with them before I paid it back and that is why they wanted me off of their network.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bounced a check to NETeller? They still let you use them?

I don't mean to bring up an old thread, but found this by taking YOUR advice to look up your old posts.

Also, if you made 750k on porn, which has huge margins, why the bounced check?

50% rake rebate at end of each month would be a big pay check and ppl would start to play at your site.

but we know this will never happen.

Default RAKE REBATE -- Bad idea

I'm all for giving rake back to players, obviously. But it should never be given back by something called a rake rebate.

The players that are gambling, are often times not aware, of how much money is actually being taken off the table by the rake, and I think if they were, I'm sure some of them would stop playing.

pokerroom already has a form of a rake rebate, 100 points = $1. This is approximately a 10% rebate for low limit players (it might be as low as 4% for high limit players).

But notice it is not referred to as a rake rebate.

And I think other promotions would be better suited than any form of a rake rebate for attracting players.

So yes, I'm for a rake rebate, but please call it something else, but also remember that the rebate itself will not be enough to attract players.

Default making it visible even to fish

Being able to "visualize" the money is certainly the key.

Why not do what seems to work for brick & mortar: jackpot bonouses. Monte Carlo (for quads and royal flush) high hand, and bad beat. I've seen fish come close to drooling over monte carlo boards, and the quest for a royal or bad beat pot seems to be all some people can talk about.

This way you would be giving back money to everybody, in a way that the fish like. They don't have to commit to a certain hands/month or sign up for anything special. It doesn't draw attention to the rake. And some of the money the fish win goes t othe good players eventually.

Despite all this, I haven't seen an online room give better jackpots than a typical b&m.

You haven't ever made an error balancing your checkbook?

Anyways, it doesn't matter how much you make..

I have multiple bank accounts, and sometimes will even mistakingly deposit from wrong accounts to this day. Getting better though, lol...

Anyways, this is old new and if possible closing this thread would be fine.. Some of my old posts, as I said, are not my best...

I am trying to change that..

Of course, only bad thing is the fish really won't benefit much unless they hit as you are getting paid based on the pots you win that are raked...

[/ QUOTE ]

This would definitely be the wrong way to implement this.

The best way is to divide the rake between all the players dealt in the hand.

You will get less "deal is rigged so that I can't win a hand to get any rake back..." complaints.
