Default Pocket Aces, need advice.

Did i play this wrong? Should I have folded. I didn't think in my right mind someone would limp or even call with this type of hand more or less call the blind. Am I foolish for not folding the turn? Any advice will do.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold 'Em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Hero raises, SB folds, BB folds, MP2 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP2 checks, CO checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, CO folds.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero raises, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls.

River: (10.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.75 BB

Results in white: MP2 shows 3d 6d (a straight, two to six). Hero shows Ad As (a pair of aces).

That's how you're supposed to play it.

What helped me get through some bad beats is I thought of all the times they would do the exact same thing and their miracle card DIDN'T come, and how many times I'd be paid off for it. It was comforting.

As for this hand, I think you played it fine.

Agree wit hthe two guys above me 100%.

1. get used to it
2. remember that SOMETIMES they lose with these hands and you never know it.

I was watching a hand last night with 5 people and and the winner won a bag pot with bottom pair!! WHAT were the others playing LOL

nothing wrong with this. I think the logical interpretation of his 3-bet would be that he had three of a kind, in which case you had sufficient pot odds to draw for the straight or 3 A's and beat him.

Many players, at these limits, will play any two suited cards. When you raise it is only one more bet to him and he will call that as well. With the oesd on the flop, he isn't going anywhere.

Just hope the A's hold up next time.
