Re: foxwoods 20/40
The turn I raised to protect my hand from a singleton club. Also, I didn't like the button (a decent player) being around and wanted to try and drive him out. This did work. In fact, I suspect I may have driven out a better/the same ace- after all, he did cold call my preflop raise, and stuck around for the turn.
Less importantly I also found out information with sb's reraise. If I were to just call down it would have cost me the same, without the benefit of protecting my hand. Thus, the raise. I agree it's pretty aggressive. As far as the sb betting the turn, I suspect he would have done that anyways with or without the turn Q. If he didn't hit that set I would have charged him the maximum to play on. Thanks for the reply. Leon |

[ QUOTE ]
lots of calling stations, including several who will call the whole way with bottom pair. [/ QUOTE ] This is good to hear. I'm pretty sure my next trip to FW will have me in this game. As for the hand, I like the play. Tough turn. How do you proceed if the turn is a club and he checks? or bets? |

I can give someone credit for a club. I'd fold on the turn for one bet, which is sort of why I played it as I did. Fold or check/fold. Leon |
