Notice some guy limps with garbage. I raise with 55 and then the BB flat calls 2 bets with AA. The limper then 3 bets with garbage(62s) and I call, allowing the BB to now 4 bet his monster. I'm now forced to put in $40 with 55. My buddy, Daryn pointed out that it seems odd that 62 made the last bet forcing him to show his hand. My theory is that they just goofed up. The 62s man left shortly after this hand. I think it could go either way and I'm interested to hear what you guys think.

I think it is just a maniac. If they were colluders, there would probably have been a check, then fold to the AA bettor. I can't imagine that a team at the 10-20 short games would make such an error. Daryn may be right about the possibility there was a mistake, but the focus would have been on getting the 2-6 mucked to a bet so it did not show in the public hand histories.

The site should easily be able to answer though. Have you sent them this? Unless it was their first time ever playing together, they will know your answer based on past play etc..

The AA player slowed to a call on the turn, and I think the 2-6 was merely trying to steal what he thought was a busted draw from AA. if I were the 2-6 guy, and made the poor decision to call the PF raises, I certainly would have bet on the river. That would be the only way to drag that pot.

Please keep us informed.

i didn't say they made a mistake, i'm actually arguing against collusion here.

let's put it this way, if it IS collusion, they are idiots.

oddly enough, if it's NOT collusion, they are idiots.

i love when you can prove definitively that people are idiots.

i'll frequently open raise with 55 in these 6 max games, although most likely not in this situation.

My apologies Daryn.

Closer read shows that I need to read more carefully. We agree on the probability of non-collusion, and definately agree the 2-6 guy is an idiot either way.

I can see why it may seem bad to raise 55 here but keep a couple of things in mind. One is that it's shorthanded. Another thing is that despite the craziness of this particular hand, this game was a little tighter than usual. Under these circumstances, I will raise pocket 5's and try and take the lead in the hand. I usually mix it up based on the table. I didn't recognize any of the people here as complete fish (until after the hand ended).
As for the collusion, I'm not even gonna bother reporting it to Party...it's just too much of a hassle to deal with some unintelligent floorperson or wait days for some half-assed email. Not worth it.
