What are affiliates
I am new to online poker so apologies if this is a dumb question, but what exactly are these affiliates I keep seeing mentioned on the forum? I get the impression that whatever they are they are not universially liked so I may draw some harsh responses but I am after just a description of what they are.

Well I can tell you what I do I sit on my butt playing poker all day and every month I get a big fat deposit into my accounts which makes me happy...what they say about poker ..a tough way to make a easy living....hmm....being an affiliate..a easier way to make a easy living...

poker affiliates=people that promote online poker casinos and get a reward for sending them players (usually 20-30% of the rake for as long as the players play). They can offer bonuses to players who open new accounts. There are several affiliates who post on 2+2, I'm one of them.
