I'm the only raiser PF...4 other callers...20 SB to the pot.

Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Check, check, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, I raise......
Fold, fold, MP1 calls, MP2 re-raises...

What's the decision?

easy 3 bet...make him pay for the flush draw

You mean cap it then right? The MP2 made it 3 bets. His call-then raise makes me think he could have more than just a draw. That's a move I don't see too often.

sorry...that does change things. looks like he might have been slow playing a set or made str8 the first time through. i'd like to see what the vets say about this one. i'd probably be a fish and call it down.

I say call and hope that he has an overpair, rather than a set. I agree that the reraise is for value -- he has a made hand. A set or overpair more likely than two pair, since those would be cruddy cards to call a pfr with.

I would not be able to lay this down. With the amount of action PF and ony MP players on the board, who would stay with 5 7 even if it was clubs? So now, you figure that he has a set but would he stay after PF betting? If they were maniacs. . . . I guess I would call it down but like alfman said, maybe I too am a fish. FWIW if you lose this hand, you have a good idea about the type of people you are playing against.

Fold against a typical opponent. He has you beat with very little chance of outdrawing him.

Why couldn't he be pushing the nut club draw? He called the first bet because he didn't know if there'd be any other players. Granted it would be a thin value raise with only two opponents, but he's 1.9:1 to hit, so it's slightly +EV.

I agree that the limp reraise does usually mean strength, and a set looks possible. However many low limit players I see either play sets fast from the start, or wait until the turn to push, so you may need to redefine a "typical opponent".

He calls because a raise would push out dead hands, then comes back and he sees action so now raises and makes all pay again. If the hero won this hand I'll change my forum name to Tosh the Dumbass.
