Last night, Party Poker 1-2 HE, player ACES_IN_HOLE was consistently waiting until his "clock" ran down to 1-2 seconds left, and then he would make his play. He wasn't just going to the bathroom or doing chores, either - he was typing in the chat box the whole time. After about 5 times, I decided he was doing it deliberately.
I didn't say anything, just quietly left the table. Has anyone else encountered this, and can anyone suggest any reason for someone to do this? Dick |

I've done it myself, but only when working off a time based bonus or prop game.
Is this wrong? |

I write it off to: some people are clearly smart enough to figure out they are too stupid to receive their 15 minutes. Usually, I just sit out at that table these types usually win their one hand and leave for a SnG. |

I am so ashamed.
Of course I got the idea off of this forum. |

Well, this DOES give me a possible explanation. Are some bonuses based on time at a table, rather than hands played? And are some props paid by the hour?
Of course, if a casino's prop is doing this, he is not serving his employer very well, is he? Dick |

A friend of mine taught me to purposefully delay a game if I suspected collusion. Make notes on the suspected players/game/hands, and see if they leave to find more fertile grounds. If they leave together, as they would; then the next time I run into them and suspect they are still colluding, then keep the game going and get a hold of support immediately.
Not sure if this is the best way to handle it, but I was told this would be effective. |

Those that believe they are winning players, and are right. 2. Those that believe they are winning players, and are wrong. If you fall into either of these categories, why would you want to slow the game down? You would only be lowering your expected earnings. If I were propping, or playing off a bonus, and felt I needed to slow the game to gain an advantage, I'd quickly look for a plan B. |

I've seen this happen in multi-table tourneys when it gets very close to in-the-money range.
The guys who are on the bubble start to take their time.. I occasionally do this, but unintentionally, when I'm playing three tables and happen to be in all three hands. Sam |

There was a post in the SNG Tourney forum about a guy who does it during the early rounds of SNG's to get people impatient and on tilt so they will push all in out of frustration... I worked for him but it seems sort of rude
