Default Did I play this right?

Here's a situation I'm often confronted with, how long to hold on to a raising hand pf, when the flop misses me....

Party Poker 1/2 (10 handed)
Teddy_CIA has J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and is MP3

Teddy_CIA raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls

Flop(6 SB): K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB checks, BB checks, Teddy_CIA bets, SB folds, BB calls

Turn(4 BB): 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB checks, Teddy_CIA checks

River(4 BB): 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB bets, Teddy_CIA folds

Heads up, I tend to win this situation, but with 2 or more I often run into problems. Did I play this right, would you have done it differently?

Without background information on the players, I would say you played it fine.

It does depend on the players. Something to consider is that a good player will often have a flush draw for the check-call on the flop. A pair might be more apt to take an attack-or-fold stance. No guarentees of course.

By checking the turn you confessed that you're playing overcards. When a blank hits the river that good player with a busted flush draw is very likely to bluff. Having provoked this bluff, maybe you should call it.

Or the player had a king and missed the turn check raise.

It all depends on the villians tendencies.
