Very nice! But if you're springing for color printing anyway, why not do a green/blue/purple/whatever dragon and a red ace instead of two black aces and a red dragon?
Was this from Chipco? |

Cool.
I've been following your window shopping, as I plan on plunking down for nice chips in the coming months as well. Please report on how you like them once they're in. I'm leaning towards the same vendor, but I've been curious about something. Your graphic is like the one on their website, and what I want to know is whether the spots are bona-fide edge spots? In other words, do they go through the chips, so they're visible when you stack them? The graphics have that white border around them, and I was wondering if all the artwork is just printed onto a white chip, leaving a solid white edge? George |

I like it. Very nice. I agree with you that the Chipco chips are the nicest ones.

DesignEise I wanted black pocket aces and I liked the dragon red.
They are chipco protech's - but through thechipstore.com. BTW The customer service has been VVG so far - hopefully the chips follow suit. Orange |

Hi george,
They have a number of edge options - These are to have a four spot edge with matching colors. They are printed seperately I believe so I am not sure how all three line up. I have seen a case full of these and they edge spots looked like any other chip from that angle. I will let you know when the come in! 5-7 weeks not bad for custom. Orange |

Hi Orange,
Very nice design. Did you tell them what you wanted and they drew it or did you submit a rough sketch or the finished design and they somehow scanned it and printed it? Betcha can't wait...just like a kid at x-mas! G$ |

I actually started with a simple design and then I went to clipart.com to spice it up and sent them a rough copy done in the standard MS paint program.
From what I gather you can do it any number of ways. I went through five revisions with them. There was no extra charge for revisions and they were very patient. They take your idea, draw it up, e-mail it to you, you decide what looks good and what needs changing, send it back wash rinse repeat until you like it. I am worse than a kid at christmas...I wish it were March 20 right now! Orange |

They are not edge spots per se. They are printed on the chip. You can get printed edging with spots as well, but they say on their website that since the two are done as separate processes, the spots on the sides won't line up with the spots on the edge.

I've got some samples of that brand of chip.
It's like an edge strip - I can even see a small area of overlap between the ends of the strip. |
