In an average game as the question stated, these are very staple raising hands for a competent player. If you are only open raising from early position with AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK you're giving up so much informations it's sickening. In tough/tight games you WANT to be adding a few more hands to your raising plate as less players will want to see a flop with you. In loose games you want to charge weaker hands that will come anyways double the price to see a flop with you. It's actually common sense - do you have any of that?

I think it's interesting that there is a fair bit of disagreement over the QT hand (#4). Anyone care to comment on it?
