Binions and Harrahs
So Harrahs is buying Binions and will continue the WSOP there. What is the reputation of Harrahs for poker?

Re: Binions and Harrahs
Well, they shut down their Vegas room a few years ago to put in a more slot machines, as the usual cliche goes, but I know from personal experience that they have a decent cardroom in the downtown New Orleans casino and that they are opening a very nice and large room very soon in Lake Charles.
With the TV-popularity that's going on right now, I'm sure Harrah's is looking for a piece of the action in Vegas and sees Binions as cheap opportunity to get in the action. As far as Binions goes, there is usually a lot of action there and good games, but the place is a dump. It would be great if Harrah's were to go in and spend some money to clean it up. Maybe they will and maybe they won't. |

Re: Binions and Harrahs
I believe that Harrah's will hold the WSOP in their ballroom on the second floor, and hold satellites at both Harrah's and Rio.

Re: Binions and Harrahs
Do you think they will have some WSOP satellites in Lake Charles?
