Default Re: Would you mention poker in a job interview?

When I was at gradschool and played in the graduate math lab online for 2-3 hours/day, most people thought I had a problem. The sad thing is all of these students could derive (or have seen) the gambler's ruin and knew more or less the meaning of edge. Basically, my point is it doesn't make much difference if the interviewer is in a technical field and how smart he is. If he is not a serious poker player, he can't understand. So no I would neither mention to the potential employer, nor to co-workers (initially).

I have one employee, an office manager

Then why did you reply to me, as I was talking about hiring a sales professional? The best sales people are by definition risk-takers. Obviously, the skills required by *your* employee are far different from those of a sales rep.
