I've been successful at Party and am playing 2/4. I've been at that level for a while, making good profit, but am still building skills to move up. I feel a bit uncomfortable with my whole bankroll at one site, and wonder how the games are at Paradise or UB. I tried Pacific today and the games are very fishy, but the software is limiting. I've been on Stars and the ring games I've been in have been rock gardens.

Paradise is another rock-garden. UB is tougher than Party but easier to beat than paradise and Pokerstars. At least that is what I think the general consensus is by most.

Why play anywhere else? Party is where the money is. If you are concerned with all your money being "stolen" by the site, don't be. It's probably safer than many of the places you have put your money in the past. If you are really paranoid about it you could try playing at empire and other party skins. The term skin means it's the exact same site (you are playing against the exact same players), but you are entering through a different "front door", and your rake goes to the good people at Empire instead of Party.

Why play anywhere else? [/ QUOTE ] Because they charge higher rake at party than most other places, UB is in the bottom too. |

I'll happily pay 1 extra small bet an hour if it means I get to play against Party players.

Although, when I've played enough to get my bonus at Pacific, I may try UB, just for some variety. I've been playing solid poker for 7 months now and after 30k hands, I'm starting to get really bored. Fortunately, when bored I play tighter because I am watching TV, working, or doing something more interesting, and don't want to be interrupted by anything short of truly premium hands. I miss reading others, but find I do fairly well just reading betting patterns and playing the odds better than the other players. Going three tables at once, I often notice little about the other players, unless they are total lunatics.

I don't understand the question. If you want to play somewhere else for variety, then it makes sense, and you've got some advice about other sites. But if your reason is really just that you don't like your entire bankroll sitting on Party, why not just withdraw some of it and keep it in Neteller? Or if that's still uncomfortable, in a bank account? If you ever actually need all of it faster than you can get it from a bank account to Party, you're tilting and the waiting period will be a good thing .

I think its a bit of an urban myth that Paradise a rock garden. I think the games are getting looser, certainly at 2/4 the games are pretty soft and their software is excellent, I'd give them a try.

for the last 2-3 even 4 months games have been getting much much better at Paradise and PokerStars. You regularly see limit pot averages of 8-9 big bets if u monitor the games carefully versus 6-8 months ago...But you need to be game selective or you can fall into more tighish games than a usual Party game.
Short games at PokerStars are better than their full ring games-you can regularly see 6MAX games with 6-9 bb pot averages--and Stars also has the best rake schedule too!!-but then again honestly if you arent game selective you fall into tightish games more readily than at Party--watch pot averages and get in the good games! In general Party games still are best by far but you can find better games now at Stars and Paradise then 3-4 months ago |
