Default Can a Rock scrub his moss?

I lost two good pots to a Certified Rock. In the four years I have played against him, I have never seen him play anything smaller than TT late outside of a blind! He took me down with 55 utg, and 52s for a raise in mp!

Until these two hands happened I would bet a month wages that he would never play hands like that outside of the blinds for no raise!

Anyone ever know of a Certified Rock to scrub off his moss, or did someone kidnap him and place a look alike in his stead?

Yes, people do change their styles, sometimes briefly, sometimes permanently.
Perhaps he read a book or took some lessons.
If it was online, someone could have been playing on his account.
Perhaps he was drinking or on tilt.
We must constantly look for signs that people are acting out of character, then adjust to the person we are playing against NOW.
Regards,
Al
