Many Players ????

I would like to know HOW MANY PLAYERS do you pros think is MANY PLAYERS ????? Example: "If many players are in the pot, you should play more hands....... " I am getting killed in the BB because I think I am calling to many raises with 98o and Axs because I DO NOT have a good appreciation of HOW MANY CALLERS give my play positive expectation.... I know it depends on the situation and on the raiser and what position the others limped in from and much more... My Question is just looking for a general idea... Example.."Suppose you flop top pair and you are against a LARGE NUMBER of Opponents you should check and perhaps fold......" When do you guys think it is large ??? 3?, 4? 5???? Thanks alot
